.strandberg* has worked with legendary guitar builder and designer Nick “Sugi” Sugimoto and his team of master builders in Japan for many years, producing some of the highest quality .strandberg* guitars in limited quantities for the Japanese market. These Japan-only instruments were marketed and sold as “J Custom” and “Master Artist” but now, they are finally available to the rest of the world as “J Artisan”. In high demand for years, these one-of-a-kind .strandberg* instruments are available from .strandberg* Guitars in US and EU as well as a few select authorized .strandberg* dealers.

This third run in a series of 12 monthly runs of 10 exquisite instruments is truly special in that it features a Honduras Mahogany body and solid Koa top with resin-fill options in Navy Blue, Green, and White Pearl. The neck is constructed of Wenge with Purple Heart fillets for rock-solid stability and an oil finish for a fast and smooth feel. The White Ebony fretboard provides a slick playing surface, tonal brilliance, and a fast transient attack.

This is the first J Artisan series with the EGS Rev7 Tremolo System and the rich acoustic characteristics of these instruments is captured by a set of Suhr™ SSH+/SSV Humbuckers with push/pull coil-split on the tone control for tonal versatility. All J Artisan guitars are delivered in a heavily-padded .strandberg* Deluxe Gig Bag and are accompanied by a COA, a .strandberg* wall hanger, and an ACME Vitalgrip guitar strap.
