The Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary Broadcaster honours the original instrument that helped shape modern electric guitar design. Produced in extremely limited numbers, this model faithfully recreates the look, feel and tone of the early Broadcasters built in1950 before the model was renamed the Telecaster.

Its lightweight two-piece ash body is finished in thin flash-coat nitrocellulose lacquer and aged with Fender's Heavy Relic treatment, recreating the look of a well-played vintage instrument. The rift-sawn maple neck features a substaintial 1950 Broadcaster "U" profile and vintage compound radius for anthentic feel and comfortable playability.

Custom Shop hand-wound '50-'51 Blackguard pickups deliver classic early Fender tone with punchy lows, articulate mids and sparkling highs. Combined with the '51 modded Nocaster wiring and blend control, the guitar offers a wide range of vintage tonal options suited to blues, country, rock and roots music.

Supplied with deluxe hardshell case, certificate of anthenticity and anniversary case candy, the Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary Broadcaster is both a remarkable player's intrument and a highly desirable collector's piece celebrating the origins of the modern solid-body electric guitar.
